Through Gustavs you'll continue on your third day by bike and ferries to the island Velkuanmaa, where you spend the night at the hotel Vaihela - where they have a great restaurant and their own wine cellar.
The toughest biking is on your fourth day from Vaihela through Kultaranta to Naantali, where you'll get some well deserved rest and relaxation at the Naantali Spa Hotel - among the best in Finland. The hotel has restaurants, pools, spas and saunas. The small town Naantali has historic beauty and is situated on the coast. The next morning you have easy biking back to Turku.

You collect your rental bikes in the morning in central Turku, and then you travel with the Vitharun bicycle ferry from Turku through the archipelago to the small summer town Nagu, where you arrive by midday. Aboard the ship you can enjoy the views from their sundeck.
This town is a popular tourist destination along the Archipelago Trail. Among the attractions is the old grey stone church, the Maritime house, the visitor's marina and nature trails. This is a good spot for lunch in any of the harbour restaurants. If you'd like to stay in Nagu for a night, we're happy to arrange it.
From Nagu your biking starts, through the countryside to Korpo in the South Western tip of Finland. Along the way we suggest some optional detours. In Korpo you'll stay the night at Hjalmar's Hotel, in the middle of Korpo village. A bit further away there's a beautiful old church, several restaurants, and a local heritage museum.
This day is dedicated to extensive island hopping and biking through small communities. After breakfast you continue by ferry from Korpo to the island Houtskär, known for their many boat houses and their sailing tradition. From Houtskär you continue to Björkö, where you can make a quick stop at a sheep farm and cuddle for a while with their adorable lambs. From there you continue to the island Mossala and cross it as well, before taking a longer ferry trip to Iniö. This ferry trip is truly something out of the ordinary, cruising between and along a great number of small islands.
The Iniö island has a restaurant, a café and a marina - as well as the tiny block and tackle museum. The nicest sight is the 19th century church - named after Swedish princess Sofia Wilhelmina.
After all this island hopping, you will at last arrive in Gustavs (Kustavi), where you'll check in at Peterzens Båthus, in a small and modern boat house. They have a marina, their own restaurant, and saunas for relaxing after the day's travels.
Today you'll bike by Kaitanen and Tövsala to the ferry harbour Hakkenpää. If you want some extra biking first, we recommend a detour to central Gustavs and take a look at the big stone boulders, which are called "The caves of Jeremiah".
In Tövsala there is a small military museum to visit along the way. From Hakkenpää you'll depart with a tiny bicycle ferry and continue on to the island hotel Vaihela, where you'll stay the night. They have an á la carte restaurant and their own wine cellar.
Today is the toughest stretch of your bicycle tour, with a few hills. But you can take your time. You bike past Kultaranta, where the summer mansion of the president of Finland lies on the beach opposite to Naantali. There is a beautiful garden at the mansion, which is sometimes open for visitors. When the flag is up, it means the president is there.
From Kultaranta, it's just a short distance to Naantali. This small spa town has a rich history, and is a classic holiday destination for Finns. There is a marina with several restaurants, and by a boardwalk you can visit the Moominworld on a small island - perfect for kids or fans of these "trolls". Worth a visit is also the old monastery church which the town originally grew around, and the narrow alleys with traditional wooden houses.
By the seaside you'll check in at luxurious Naantali Spa, which is one of Finland's best hotels. They have restaurants, pools, saunas, and spa treatments for your relaxation after all the biking.
From Naantali you have but a short distance back to Turku, where you return your bikes. If you have time to spare, you should visit the various attractions in this Finland's oldest city. If you'd like to stay a night in Turku before finishing the trip, we can book a night at one of our partner hotels.
If you are interested in history or culture, there is much of interest to see here in Finland's previous capital. Such as the Turku Castle with hundreds of objects in the permanent exhibition, or the cathedral, which was built in the 13th century. For the culturally interested, there is the Turku Art Museum, the Sibelius Museum, Forum Marinum and the Swedish Theatre. You can also explore what's on offer in the big public market hall and local bakeries.
